Gourmet break: recipes for smoothie, juice and herbal tea

Summer goes on in Marrakech! To quench your thirst while taking care of yourself, let yourself be seduced by these healthy and gourmet recipes based on seasonal fruit concocted by our Chef.

Cherries & Apples detox juice: for a good start to the day!

Full of vitamins and antioxidants, the combination of cherries and apples is perfect to detoxify the body! When consumed in the morning, this detox juice helps tone muscles and boosts the immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 300g of cherries
  • 2 apples (preferably Granny Smith)

 

  1. Wash, dry and stone the cherries.
  2. Wash, peel and core the apples, then cut them into large cubes.
  3. Juice the cherries and then the apples in a juicer to extract the juice.
  4. Add a few ice cubes and it’s ready!

 

 

 

Smoothie Bowl: a moment of sweetness!

A real trend on social networks, the Smoothie Bowl has everything to please; its colourful and fresh compositions are full of nutrients and present themselves as an essential wellness ally. Enjoyed in the afternoon, the Smoothie Bowl gives you energy!

Ingredients:

  • 300g pitted and frozen cherries
  • 2 bananas cut and frozen
  • About ten dates
  • 1 yoghurt
  • One teaspoon of honey
  • Some lemon peel
  • Some red fruits and seeds of your choice for topping

 

  1. Wash, dry and stone the cherries.
  2. Peel and slice the bananas into rounds.
  3. Place the bananas and cherries in the freezer (for an ideal texture, make sure they are well frozen!) for a few hours. You can prepare these ingredients the night before and leave them in the freezer overnight.
  4. Stone the dates
  5. In a blender, mix all the prepared fruit with the yoghurt, dates, honey and lemon zest to obtain a creamy texture.
  6. Pour the mixture into a bowl and decorate with the seeds and red fruits of your choice.
  7. Taste it!

 

Herbal tea: a moment of relaxation at the end of the day!

Herbal tea, ideal for maintaining good hydration! Very thirst-quenching, herbal tea is simple to make and can be consumed without moderation.

Ingredients:

  • A handful of cherries
  • 10 fresh verbena leaves
  • Half a lemon

 

  1. Wash and stone the cherries.
  2. Wash and dry the verbena sprigs.
  3. Put the ingredients in a teapot and add boiling water.
  4. Leave to brew for a few minutes (2 to 4 minutes are enough).

For optimal benefits, it is not recommended to sweeten the herbal tea. However, it is possible to add a little natural honey, which will have a healthier sweetening effect!

The herbal tea is perfect in the evening; it facilitates digestion and acts on sleep.
