The hivernage district
just steps from the medina

The Es Saadi Resort has a prime location in the residential Hivernage neighbourhood, overlooking the Atlas Mountains. Just steps from the walls of the old city and the Menara gardens, a short ten-minute drive to the airport.

Hivernage is a modern, peaceful residential neighbourhood. Forget the crowded, tiny streets of the Medina, here wide avenues lined with palms and olive trees are graced with luxury hotels and beckoning terraces. The most famous avenue is Mohammed VI, modelled after the Champs-Élysées, home to the Royal Theatre, the Palais de Congrès conference centre and the Multiplex cinema.

Quiet during the day, the area comes alive at night with some of Marrakech’s trendiest nightlife hotspots.

Bathed in the light of the setting sun, the four sides of the tower are illuminated to reveal floral paintings and epigraphs, tracery and interlaced arches. Nearly 1,000 years later, the Berber dynasty of the Almoravids still shares its history with those who listen.

Must-see sites
Découverte du Jardin Majorelle de Marrakech

From Jacques Majorelle to Yves Saint-Laurent.

The French painter designed this garden like an extraordinary botanical tableau vivant, mixing exotic trees and plants with the bold, primary colours of the Atlas Mountains. Pathways lead us through his life's passion, as the water all around whispers his secrets. As you leave, stop in at Héritage Berbère for a fragrant souvenir!

A unique collection…

Embark on a different kind of journey to gain new perspective through pictures. This museum of photography weaves together the exceptional diversity of Morocco through images by anonymous travellers or famous photographers (from 1879 to 1960). Each exhibition helps paint a nuanced portrait of a country and the history of its ideas.

Medersa Ben Youssef

At the heart of the Medina, it is the city's most celebrated jewel of Arabo-Andalusian architecture, and not without reason. A theological college for over 4 centuries, the Medersa is now a historical site showcasing its abundant decoration with a stunning blend of colourful zellij tiles, exquisite marble and stuccowork, and carved cedar wood.
A feast for the eyes.
